What have I been reading??

Sadly, the book I am currently reading is titled, "Sixth Grade Secrets" by Louis Sachar.  As a "fun" reading time, we decided to read a book and do a book unit.  Trouble is, the book unit has to be created!  Actually, it's really kind of fun creating this unit!  Sometimes I mess up with the characters, but it is such a joy to see how much the kids really like the book!!  

This particular book was written in 1987, so there are some older aspects to the styles in the book! Haha!  One such example is that the technology the kids use.  These kids use a cassette recorder! Ha!  Some of my kids knew what it was, but others looked at me like I had grown 3 heads! (Dragon Lady!!)

Can't wait to finish this book with the kids!!!  Love book units, and being able to introduce the kids to new genres!!!
