As I sit here reflecting on Mother's Day this year, I'm sad, and happy. I am happy because I got to go to my Mother in Law's house and bring breakfast. She usually cooks every Sunday morning for whatever crew decides to come over. The DILs decided we would do the breakfast and let her have a Sunday off. I am very lucky to have been blessed with 4 wonderful SILs. ALL 5 of us are truly blessed beyond measure to have her as our Mother In Law!
(This is Aimie and Julia with Betty Grandma Chris last year)
After breakfast at Betty's, we headed to church with Mom and Dad. This little church is the one I grew up in (well, it's been added on to, rebuilt, changes made, etc.). I can think of only one Mother's Day when I wasn't in church with my momma and that was the year I was a Senior in HS and we were on our Sr. Trip. I did call her though. It truly is a blessing to still have my momma and to be able to sit with her in church.
(Me with my sweet Momma)
I did get to see my babies, for only a short time, but I got to see them. Michael had just gotten off a 12 hour shift, and Aimie had driven home at 4:30 am, to find some stress relief (she has finals this week) by sleeping in her own bed. I know, deep down, she just needed to see her momma! I didn't get to see my sweet future DIL, because she had to work. She did text me and FB message me too!!!
My sweet baby boy!
My sweet future DIL! My sweet baby girl!
I truly pray I get to have many more Mother's Days with my Momma, my MIL, and my kiddos, but until the next one, I think I will just enjoy EVERY day I get with them!
Love to all! Thanks for reading!
Sharon
