Thankful this Thursday!

Today, for some reason, I feel the need to let you all know that I am truly thankful for my "kids".  Not my own, I gave birth to you kids; but the kids that other women gave birth to, and that I get the joy of being with most of the day, most of the week, most of the year.

I can't say every day is a bed of roses, but I can say that at least one of my kiddos makes me smile in some way or another.  Several times a day, I end up doing the whole SMH (shake my head), most of the time in a good way!

As I get nearer the end of the school year (10 1/2 days, but who is counting?), I know that I will miss these little monsters sweethearts!  I also know, that, no matter what, I have been with them for 170+ days, and the old adage holds true:  I sure will miss my 6th grade babies!   I was reminded by my co-teacher this morning that my kids are like my very own in that I have all the right to say what little turds angels they are, but nobody else better say that stuff about them, or they have Momma Sharon to answer to!!

On a final, kind of sad note, my first group of Hornet 6th grade babies are Seniors this year!  This group was, and still is, a special group to me!  I love these kids still, just as much as I did when I was their teacher!  I know I will see great things come from them!

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I did writing it.  I even teared up a little as I think of several of the kids, and not seeing their smiling faces, or eating their leftover, I don't like the bread, lunches! Haha!  Although I can't mention the students by name, I can say I love all my 6th grade babies!!

Happy Thursday!  Tomorrow's Friday! Thanks for stopping by!

Sharon
