Favorite Things Party!

Hey all!!  Been crazy, stupid busy, and this blog happens to fall low on my priority list. (insert sad face here)  Now, things seem to have settled down, so here I go again!!! (Yes, you can sing that to Whitesnake! Ha!)

Linking up with Erika, and her buddies for a Favorite Things post!

Favorite Things PArty
Right now, since I'm on this "obviously overweight" kick (inside story), I'm really loving this Jolly Time microwave Kettle Corn!  Each bag is 3 WW points, and the hubs and I share! I think we have the mini bags, so one bag is 3 points.

As far as everyday usage, I would have to say my favorite item would be my long tanks from Target!  I wear these under my dri fit staff shirts (I just have a thing about that material against my skin).  I tried going without, and managed it for one day, but ......... (Click on the pic and it will take you to the link)  (I have one in almost every color)

Hope you guys enjoyed these few favorites of mine!  Happy Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Tuesday's Toppers! Cowboys Game!

This past Sunday has been one of my absolute favorite ordinary days this year!  I got to spend the day with my favorite girl, and my favorite team!

Picked up the girl from Jeffco - well, I parked my car and got in with her!

Got to our seats, and Aimie decided I really suck at taking selfies, so she took over after this one!  I don't know why, but I always look cross - eyed! Blah!

Much better, but I still look cross - eyed! Ha!  Notice behind us, we have Rams fans all around! We are REBELS!!!

Our view of the field.  There were lots of Cowboys' Fans in front of us!!

This was the only thing the hubs asked me to do - take a pic of the cheerleaders! HA!
I took a picture of the Nachos Aimie and I shared too!  He was a little jealous!

Getting ready to throw the long pass!!!

Getting set up for a play, I think?!

Aimie took another selfie!  She was getting tired of them at this point! Y'think?

This one was taken by an usher.

I got one more, since it was a WINNER!!!!  I knew my 'Boys could do it, just not sure why it looked so ugly! Haha!

Win or lose, my day was AWESOME!  It's amazing that this girl has grown into such a beautiful, young lady - who occasionally hangs out with her Momma for a day!!! (Didn't hurt that she's a Cowboys' Fan too!)

Love you Nae!

What I Wore Wednesday!

It's Wednesday!!!  Wowsers!  I cannot believe this week has gone by as fast as it has!  Nothing too special this week; I, at least, think I can remember where I got each piece, as well as what day I wore them! Ha!

9/11:  Red, White, and Blue Day in honor of those who sacrificed their lives.  Wearing my red pants from Christopher & Banks, a white, long torso tank from Target, a blue chambray shirt from Nordstrom, and my blue flats from Dress Barn.

9/12:  Professional Development Day!  Black polo with Advance Staff in silver and a little bling to add some sparkle to my day, my Miss Me jeans from the Buckle (surprisingly, I could breathe all day!), and my Nike tennis shoes from Famous Footwear at the Landing in Branson.

9/15:  Picture day at AES!  Wearing my blue GAP pants, with a peachy cami from Charlotte Russe, and a tan/dark tan 3/4 length sleeve sweater from Charlotte Russe.  Peach teardrop statement necklace from Charlotte Russe, and my navy flats from Dress Barn.  (Aimie and Ashley helped me pick out the top to wear).

9/16:  Sorry for the blurry picture!  I was running way late!  Black and white striped cardigan from ??? (thought I knew them all), black, long torso tank from Target, black dress pants from Christopher & Banks with silver American Eagle flats.

9/17  Navy and white striped shirt from the Loft, with a black tank from Dress Barn underneath (I thought the shirt was too thin), Brown (yes, I said Brown) dress pants from Christopher & Banks.  Although you can't tell, my flats are my leopard print flats!  Leopard does go with everything! Ha!

Thanks for sharing in my world!  I enjoy doing these blogs, if for nothing else, just so my family that reads them (probably the only ones who do) can see what I wear to school every day!!

Happy Wednesday!

Tuesday's Top Two!

Top Two Favorites for the week!

1.  My job!  I have wanted to teach for as long as I can remember.  It took me a while to get here (I raised my babies - well, until Michael started school - Aimie was very independent!)  I love what I do!  Yes, there are some days that I think, "What the Heck?", but I really wouldn't trade it for the world.  Now, ask me that tomorrow????? Ha!

Before the “bad teacher” label gets thrown out, let’s take look ...

2.  Getting phone calls from my kids!  Sounds kinda silly, I know, but it makes me all mushy!  Now, when I say phone call, for Aimie that is a rare treat! Ha!  But I do tend to get a text from her quite often.  No, she doesn't only ask me for something!  I believe Gary and I have done an outstanding job raising our two children.  Are they perfect?  Heck no, but that's part of their charm!  Then you add in the sweet, beautiful DIL, and my world is pretty good!

This is soooooo me!!! Haha!!  All 3 of my kiddos would agree!

Happy Tuesday, ya'll!  Hope your day is blessed, and filled with love!  Be looking for me to show you my week's outfits tomorrow!  Thanks for stopping by!

Monday's Musings

What a weekend!  Non-stop, go, go, go!  Craziness, but when school starts, that seems to be my life! Ha!

Friday I had a PD day (which was awesome)!  After that I came home, packed a bag, and when Gary got home, we left for St. Louis.  We spent the night, and got up Saturday morning (yes, on a Saturday) at 6:00am to be at Krispy Kreme to pick up 219 dozen donuts for my Jr. Beta Club!  Whew!  This was an "off" year, as we usually sell close to, or over 300 dozen.  Usually takes 2 vehicles, and I am on such a sugar high from smelling them, I don't come down for two weeks! Ha!

Saturday evening, one of my "other sons" got married, so we went to help celebrate.  Michael and his "twin friends" have been buddies since 1st grade.  Pretty much inseparable, and now Dylan has Jory (cute, adorable little boy) and Derrick got married to Katie.  Kinda gives me that sad, I'm getting old, kind of feeling.  Jory calls Michael "Uncle Michael" and loves him to pieces (the feeling is quite mutual).  It was kind of neat to see Michael carrying Jory around.  One of these days, but for now, I'm ok being just mom.

Ok, so this really is just a cute saying that will be put up in my house! Ha!

Aimie came home on her crutches (yes, it's as scary as it sounds).  Ashley (my DIL) and I met Aimie in Cape to stock her up on "necessities".  We went to Sam's Club at one point, and Aimie decided to ride the scooter.  I told her I didn't know which was worse, my 85 year old mother on one of those, or her!  At one point, she needed to "back up".  Before she started, she said, "Does this thing", and as she said "beep", it stared beeping when she went into reverse.  She quickly put it in forward, and said, "I am NOT backing up since this thing beeps!"  Ashley and I were laughing so hard!  I had such a fun time with those two girls!

Enjoy the clip!  Aimie is going to probably want to wring my neck! Love ya kiddo!

There it is!  I could go on, and on, but I'm tired, and I'm going to bed! Ha!  Good night!

Thanks for stopping by!

Friday Favorites!

Momfessionals
Happy, happy Friday!  Linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea to share a few of my favorite happenings this week!

1.  Baby cows!  I drive by my neighbors' cow pastures every day, and see all the baby cows that have been born!  So sweet, and such a reminder of God's blessings!

Picture of a baby calf born to Rosie, a Salers cross cow

2.  Today's Professional Development Day!  I had such a great day!  Our consortium had John Antonetti come in and give his presentation.  He put me in a much better frame of mind, gave me lots of information (all you teachers out there know how overwhelming these one day things are - and it was, but sooooo good!), and I think, now, I can go in with some fresh ideas when I teach my writing lesson on Monday!

There you go!  Sorry I missed yesterday (can we say crazy, horrible, no good, very bad day?)!  See you on Monday!

What I Wore this Week!

It's Wednesday!!  Linking up with the Pleated Poppy!  I am, by far, NOT a fashionista, but I do have some fun looking at Blogs and Pinterest to see what might look good on me.  I have taken a few cues from blogs and from the daughter too!

My white bermudas from the Loft, striped, navy shirt with my navy ballet flats from Dress Barn.  I wore my new favorite long necklace too!

Jeans day Friday!!!  My favorite Buckle capris, black AES hornet polo shirt, with my khaki Toms.

My favorite khakis (Old Navy), with my Lime Green Team Hornets polo (in honor of my friend and former co-teacher Amanda - I miss her!), and my Nike tennis shoes!  Recess duty week!

Still recess duty week, but it will be hot today. Black skort, with white AES polo and my favorite Buckle sandals (even though they were a pain, and I had to take them off to get the grass out of them.)

Today!  Wanted to wear my pink crops one more time!  These were from JCPenney, the lace tank from Nordstrom, have on a mint green tank from Target, and my sandals from Famous Footwear!

There ya go, folks!  Hope you enjoyed!  If you need advice, just let me know, and I'll ask my daughter! Ha!

Tuesday's Top Two!

Today, I am going to highlight my favorite two things that seem to be high on my list for the moment.

1.  Pedicures!  OMW, I Love me a good pedi!  I haven't had one since the wedding, so it was past time to take care of my poor old feet.  They are so tired!

2.  My favorite football team:  The Dallas Cowboys!  I Love my 'Boys!  Even when they are bad (which apparently was Sunday)!  Still love 'em!  That's what a true FAN is!  I'm pretty excited that I get to go see them when they come to St. Louis!  I'm taking my favorite blonde girl with me, and she was pretty happy when I asked her on our "date"!  I raised that girl right!

Monday's Musings

What a busy, busy weekend I had!

Busy weekend ahead...

Saturday morning, as in 6:30 AM, Gary and I headed to Godfrey, Illinois to watch Aimie play volleyball. She had a phenomenal day!  Unfortunately, she is now in a full on leg brace! (Boo)  She's out for at least 2 weeks to let her knee heal.  Not sure of the injury, but better to be on the safe side.

Workouts for Bad Knees

After we got back from there, we changed out of our VB clothes into dress clothes to attend the wedding reception of Gary's boss' daughter.  It was gorgeous, the food was great, music was great, and company was great, but this girl was Worn Out!

Sunday was a bit more relaxing.  Breakfast with the Mother In Law, and got to see the cute great nephew!  Yes, I am a baby hog, and not ashamed to admit it!  Then on to lunch with my parents.

If you notice, church was not mentioned.  I am struggling a bit with church attendance, I will admit.  I cannot decide if I am getting in His way more than I should.  Seems to me, as I type this, that the word I is coming up quite a bit.  Hmmmmmm.....

Prayers would be appreciated!  For me and the baby girl!

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Reading!   See you for Tuesday's Top Two!

Friday Favorites!

Momfessionals

It's Friday!!!!  WooHoo!!  Linking up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to share my favorites this week!

#1

I love watching this girl play some volleyball!  My Aimie girl plays for Jeffco at Hillsboro.  She is a sophomore, so she sees quite a bit more playing time.  She LOVES her coach, and even though the first picture is of her standing by the bench (they don't sit on the chairs), she was getting ready to go back in.  She is the Middle Blocker/Hitter, and sometimes Outside Hitter.

Can"t you see how much she loves it?!!!

And my very favorite picture of the week!
Photo: Hanna Glastetter (13) and Mackenzie Wipfler (12) set up a Mineral Area double block against Jefferson attacker Aimie Simmers (7) in game one Wednesday night.

My baby girl going up to attack (she's #7)!  At 5'9", she's one of the shortest Middles in the conference!  So proud! Happy Momma!

There you go!  Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Reading!  Have a great weekend!
