As a teacher, we often have to do all kinds of things beyond the realm of teaching. Take today, for instance, I had to be a stapler fixer. This is typically a daily job for me, because, contrary to popular opinion, 12 year olds and staplers do not mix! It seems like these kids can jam even the best stapler around! It's really funny that I also send an email to all the staff asking for pliers, and I end up getting several pair offered to me! Ha! I must not be the only one with stapler jamming kiddos!
This has absolutely nothing to do with staplers, but I thought it was kinda funny! Ha!
Today, I was also the filter cleaner of the smart board projector. For a short person, it is NOT an easy job. I drag a chair over and still stand on the tip toes! Then you have to just blow the dust out of the foam. Yeah, pretty fun!
I also got to see the "lightbulbs" light up! That is the BEST part of my job! We worked with balances and beakers today, and just seeing the excitement over finding the mass of the beakers, the mass of the water, and the density of the water, well, let's just say it was pretty cool!
So, even though I sit here very tired, it's a blessed kind of tired. Happy Thursday, and thanks for stopping by!
PS: Today marks post 100!!! So excited!!!
